In November 2020, [RE]LEARN festival brought together learning innovation Thought Leaders, Education Leaders and Change Leaders from across the world for a 2-week online festival to share, learn and develop methods to bring about a global shift in education.
#OurTimeIsNOW! The COVID-19 pandemic has created the largest disruption of education systems in history - now is the time to embrace the momentum and make change happen.
Over 3600 educators took part in [RE]LEARN to promote learning innovation and help co-design and implement a new Learning Paradigm. The majority of sessions from the festival have been saved and are replayable for posterity in the form of a learning innovation library.
[RE]LEARN is a place for like-minded innovators, educators and lifelong learners to come together globally and share actionable learning innovation and insight for a global shift in education. Communicate your area of passion, connect and make change happen!
Technology and innovation in education is quickly spreading across communities. At [RE]LEARN you will be able to choose from over 270 sessions and 90 workshops led by 200 of the world’s top Learning Innovators. Come discover how education leaders, educators, parents and learners are moving towards new paradigms of learning.
COVID-19 has accelerated the need for change in education and we cannot wait for governments to change policies. Through sharing and learning, you’ll help develop methods to set the direction of 21st century learning in your own community. #OurTimeIsNow
If you want to have a big fire, you start with a little one and keep the fire burning. We, the learning innovators, are the fire keepers of the global shift in education.
Getting a degree at a good university doesn’t guarantee a good job or a job for life anymore. The system has changed so education needs to change.
Learn (as an innocent child) - Unlearn (everything given via school) - Relearn (how to live).
Parents stick to the traditional education system because they believe it will lead their kids to a productive work life and success, but we all know that path is broken.
Suggesting parents not to take the traditional path for their kids’ education is terrifying. We need to provide compelling examples of what a new model of education could look like.
The whole education system is based on making a better version of a system that does not work. All you get is a better version of a broken system…
Students are currently being prepared for a world that doesn’t exist anymore.
Well, the Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.
So great to work with like-minded educators exploring the HOW of deep learning design at the #RELEARN2020 conference. We had participants from Barcelona, Ibiza, Paris, Dubai, Zurich, Melbourne, and Adelaide co-creating together!!#DeeperLearningToolkit pic.twitter.com/kxS9qPG2mO

Thanks for having me this evening @wearelearnlife to discuss the possibilities of #Heutagogy to drive autonomy, capacity & capability in K-12 rather than just at HEd. Would have preferred to have been in Barcelona with you all😷...maybe next year?😉#relearn2020 #OurTimeIsNow pic.twitter.com/oGgAe4wHHc
